You may have noticed some changes recently on AOL Video. The site is beginning a transformation. As such, we've changed it's name, given it a face-lift and started to teach it some new tricks.
Name: Who's "Beta?"
On video.aol.com, we've updated our logo to now include a "Beta" tag. This indicates that while the site as it stands has some interesting new features we'd like you to try, at the same time it is far from a finished product. At AOL, we're committed to bringing you great sites that are fun, easy to use and couple the best of technology with the best content the web has to offer. We think of "Beta" as a reminder to keep improving and innovating everyday, so we can meet that commitment.
Face-lift: Out with the old, in with the Blue
Apart from the fresh new AOL Video blue, we've made a number of changes to make the site easier to use and easier on the eyes. Most of the changes to-date are on the playback page (that is, the page where you watch videos). We were aiming to achieve a few specific goals:
New Tricks: More fun than a rabbit in a hat
There are a number of new features we're excited to introduce in order to improve your video viewing experience. I'll name a few, but the rest will be for you to discover as you explore the site:
1. Next Up. As you're watching one video, we'll show you what's coming up in a playlist on the right side of the screen. When your video ends, we'll queue up the next one. Don't like what's coming? Not a problem. You can easily change the upcoming playlist and select a new video to watch.
2. A simpler way to share. As you watch a video, the ability to share it with your friends and family through Lifestream, E-mail or major social networks is now just a mouse click away.
3. Your very own channel. As you watch videos, use "Like" and "Dislike" to let us know what you think of them. Over time, we'll use your preferences to build a channel just for you called "My Videos." It's like you can become your own media mogul, only with a fraction of the effort.
4. Vroom vroom. While upgrading the site, we've also done a lot of work under the hood to deliver a faster, more reliable service.
We hope you'll enjoy the site and offer your candid feedback, positive and negative, so we can continue improving it for you. Now, without further adieu, sit back, relax and enjoy the show:

- Enlarge the video itself, so you can focus on the content you came to see
- Eliminate clutter and distractions
- Make it easier to find more videos that you'll love to watch
